Mr. Somjettana Pasakanon, Director of Sustainability Development, Good Governance, and Corporate Communication Office, C.P. Group, stated that receiving this award is an honor. C.P. Group and all of its businesses have pledged to work together to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. C.P. Group received a total of three prizes today, two of which were gold in Measure and Reduce and one silver in Contribute. The inaugural prize was presented to firms that had clearly measured greenhouse gas emissions, covering both Scope 1 and Scope 2, which are emissions from our activities. Scope 3 emissions, or emissions that occur across the value chain, are also included. The reduction was the focus of the second prize. A corporation must cut absolute greenhouse gas emissions by at least 2.5% compared to the previous year to receive the gold level. The third prize went to a corporation that demonstrated carbon offsetting activities by acquiring carbon credits, partially financing the purchase of carbon credits, and encouraging other companies to work together to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. These three components won us the plaque today. This is the first successful step, and the Group will continue to work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for a more sustainable future.
