Modern Renewable Agriculture Project in Pinggu

Chroen Pokhand Group had an opportunity from Chinese Government to join with the Modern Renewable Agriculture Project in Pinggu, Beijing City in China since 2009. The Modern Renewable Agriculture Project in Pinggu is one of the several projects which is implemented under the Modern Agriculture Policy in form of “Four Cooperation” or “Four in One”. These 4 cooperation includes the Government Sector, the Private Sector, Financial Institutes and Farmers. Farmers can own this project by uniting as a cooperative which had been supported by the Government. The Government supply financial resources which is Bank of Beijing. When the farmers operated the project for 20 years, all properties are belonging to the cooperative which the farmers own.

Result:
Economic ValueThe Modern Renewable Agriculture Project in Pinggu has involved both directly and indirectly in the local economy development such as an employment, tax payment, and increase income for farmers in various format. Net economic benefits to society are 117.7 million yuan in 2018.
Social ValueThe net benefits associated with external social factors of 4.3 billion yuan. Most of which come from the benefits that employees and farmers have from investing in the training of the project which can be calculated to 99% of total net benefit from external social effects.
Environmental ValueThe impact of eternal environmental cost is 55.3 billion yuan net. The use of water resources in the most significant environmental accounted for 59% of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the project. Minor factor is the greenhouse gas emission, which is accounted for 40%.
