Materiality Assessment

In 2021, Charoen Pokphand Group has conducted a review of material sustainability issues which had been intensively assessed in 2020 based on the materiality assessment process of the Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI Standards) and based on an integrated format adopted by the Group for more comprehensive results and connectivity of issues, both internally and externally.

The materiality review process in 2021 included an analysis of emerging risks and opportunities by executives from all business groups, an analysis of movements, trends and positive/negative impacts from around the world and relevant industries, a stakeholder opinion survey and an in-depth analysis of the 11 stakeholder groups, evaluation and prioritization, verification by executives and relevant parties, and certification from credible external authorities.
